|A Word from Our Pastors
September 24, 2020
Dear St. James Family,
Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
This weekend we have the joy of celebrating the Rite of Confirmation with 19 students coming forward to affirm their faith in Jesus and receive a blessing through His Word. This Rite will be celebrated at all the services. All 19 students will not be at the same service, as families were given the option to pick which service to attend.
Pastor Steve’s message is titled ‘What Does Confirmation Look Like’. It will be a blessing for the students, as well as for all who hear it. The message will bring back why many of us stood on Confirmation Day to confess our faith in Jesus too. It will be the same message for the radio broadcast and online services. Of course, those taped services will not have any students participating.
We also know that there has been a rise in COVID cases in our community. We want to continue working together to help mitigate the risk of spreading the virus. We will continue to follow the protocols established in May when we started in-person worship. We have posted those in the Weekly Worship Bulletin most weekends.
Given the current conditions in the community, this weekend we strongly encourage those coming for worship in person to wear a mask as a way to work together in mitigating the virus and loving our neighbor.
If you still have concerns about gathering in groups, that is understandable. Please join us at 9:00 AM with the Radio Broadcast or watch on Facebook or YouTube. Links are found on the St. James Facebook page and www.stjames-shawano.org.
In the joyful service of Jesus,
Pastor Mark & Pastor Steve

Greetings to our Brothers and Sisters in Jesus at St. James!
He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves.
Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
(2 Corinthians 5:15)
The above words of Paul capture what our life together at St. James is all about. As a congregation, we have adopted these words as our vision: Loved by Jesus we will Learn from Jesus so that as we Live for Jesus we will Lead all to Jesus! Even though the world around us has changed drastically due to Covid-19, and in some cases came to a screeching halt, the good news is that our mission and ministry has not. We continue to find strength, comfort, hope and encouragement from the never-failing love of Jesus! We have learned new ways to live for Jesus, which has resulted in people being led to Jesus to discover His love and the life He alone offers us. We have learned NEW WAYS to:
- WORSHIP by adding Facebook and YouTube broadcasts, hundreds of people join us for worship this way each Sunday! We have also added the very popular Worship in the Park on Monday evenings at Franklin Park! Beginning September 5th our Worship Schedule will look like this:
