NEW TO ST. JAMES
WORSHIP | As we gather for worship each week, we are reminded of the tremendous blessings that we have received as a result of God’s love. While our worship services have many elements that are the same (prayers, Bible readings, confession of faith, message, Holy Communion), we do understand that God’s people appreciate being able to worship in various ways. In our Traditional Worship (Saturday 5:30pm and Sunday 8:00am) services, we utilize hymns and elements of Lutheran liturgy from the Lutheran Service Book. For Celebration (Sunday 10:30am), which is held in the gymnasium, the feel is a bit more casual and you’ll hear many songs that are currently played on Christian radio today.
FELLOWSHIP | Refreshments are normally available on Sunday mornings from 8:15 - 9:00am in the narthex, and outside of the gym before Celebration from 10:00 - 10:30am, however, due to COVID restrictions, we are temporarily suspending the offering of refreshments and coffee.
HOLY COMMUNION | The Lord's Supper is celebrated during all Worship Services on the first and third weekends of the month, and at all Senior Services the first and third Wednesday of the month. Gluten-free wafers are available at all services for those in need of them. Please see a Lay Minister before the service to let them know of your request.
PARENTS WITH CHILDREN | Children are always welcome to worship with us. Children's bulletins and blue bags are available at the entrances to the worship areas. There is a Mother's Room with a changing table located by the restrooms in the Narthex.
SENIOR SERVICE | Worship designed for our shut-in members, but anyone may attend. Every first and third Wednesday of the month at 11:00am with Holy Communion.
